Omeo District Health Board Chair, Simon Lawlor would like to inform the community of an important change in leadership at ODH.
After much consideration, Mary Manescu has decided to resign from her position as CEO, effective 10 November 2024.
During her tenure, Mary has made a significant contribution to our organisation, from re-establishing our core systems and processes disrupted by the pandemic and other local events, to rebuilding our workforce capacity and capability, creating a clearer and accountable organisational structure supported by an inclusive and respectful team culture, fostered our digital and other innovations, optimised the use of our facilities and strengthened our service models, all whilst navigating many other risks and challenges.
We are grateful for her dedication, vision and leadership during a pivotal time for Omeo District Health. As an organisation we are stronger and better able to embrace many future opportunities that lie ahead.
Please be assured that the Board is committed to ensuring a smooth process into our new leadership. We will begin the search for a new CEO immediately, and we aim to find a leader who will continue to build on the strong foundation we have established.
